Our founder Riyaz Datoo was hungry and eager for change. He wanted to break free because he knew that better opportunities were out there for him outside his 9-to-5 job. This was something that didn't sit well with Riyaz. So he decided to initiate the change that he wanted and took that leap of faith to start his own business.
3D Crystal was born out of innovation, inspiration and passion. Riyaz loves lasers and had this amazing idea to create his own spin on 3d glass pictures that would leave people in awe, especially when they saw what could be done to transform jpeg photos. He wanted to amplify the sentimental value of precious moments and saw crystal pictures as a lovely way to preserve special milestones and memories in people’s lives.
Our company was able to grow from one location to over 50 locations in just our first year of business. This wouldn’t be possible if we didn’t apply four important business fundamentals.
First, we partnered with other shops. It’s very important for us to understand how to distribute our 3d crystal images and who we are going to distribute it to. We found stores that complemented the products that we are selling and this strategy helped us expand our reach in our first 52 weeks in the business.
Second, we took our time to understand what these stores need and want to make .It’s not just about how fast we ship our products, it’s also about our knowledge and understanding of the real essence of providing value and pricing our products correctly.
Third, we focused on creating professionally developed merchandising displays of our 3d photo crystals in order to lure and captivate new customers to order from us. Apart from our partnerships, pricing, display and merchandising efforts, we want to keep everything efficient and organized. Being aware of the logistics side of the business also helped us grow our 3d business exponentially.
